Big Saturday

As soon as Summer hits Melbourne, there's a bunch of stuff to do. There was so much on this Saturday that I didn't get time to do all of it (huge apologies to Miglet for missing the party - Happy Birthday! I owe you a drink). 

Most of the day consisted of sun, beers and more sun, Starting off with the Write 4 Gold comp down in St Kilda. Luna Park made for a nice backdrop. Maybe they ran out of boards, but it was nice to see that they used the actual park fence for the throwup battle.

The theme this year was 'Back In The Days'

Then it was off to the Heist store for the launch of Sneaker Freaker #11. There were non-stop beers (they're usually all gone by the time I get there) and a very relaxed afternoon out on the sidewalk. My camera was AWOL so no flicks, sorry. Maybe a little too much sun, but we kept good company, got threatened by a man with a big dog for 'making funny faces' and to top it all off, picked up an issue of the mag, along with a brown bag full of goodness:

Not only does it smell incredible (sparking my craving for another coffee today, not just any coffee, I wanted THIS coffee). Awesome packaging, I want to break it open and grind the beans right now. Masta Ace - Melbourne

What a fine night, almost a 2 hour set. Sweet supports from Hospice and the Funkoars - always an invite for random 'girls' to jump up on stage mid set, what is with that?

Unfortunately didn't get any decent pics of the Masta himself (not enough time these days to fiddle with brightness and contrast), it may have also have been something to do with a vodka induced sway.

What the HELL is with the flies! I don't know if it's just a Melbourne thing or if they're bad all over. Outdoor meals are no longer an option, unless you want to look like a crazy waving your arms about for the duration of your meal. Someone call the exterminator!
