What Can She Get for 10 Dollar?
Shamelessly taken (word for word) from here with a Thanks to Three Thousand for the heads up. Hope this ain't for real. Drunken Military dancing to Bucky Done Gun at 2am the other night was too much fun.
M.I.A. is set to launch her own clothing line. According to hipster fashionistas Trashbag Aesthetics, the London-born MC/producer, who posed for Marc, this year’s spring campaign by Marc Jacobs, is looking to release a line that focuses on bomber jackets, leggings and t-shirts. Each item will feature bold bright hues and graphic prints, which Maya often sports herself. No name or date has been set for the line, but stay tuned.
In more M.I.A. “news,” MTV News is reporting that M.I.A. may be looking to get out of the music industry. After the star’s recent show in New Orleans, she told reporter Akshay Bhansall that she is considering moving away from music altogether in order to return to art. As you may or may not know, Ms. Arulpragasam has quite an established portfolio, having designed both of her album covers, t-shirts, music videos, as well as the cover for Elastica’s second album, The Menace. In 2001, her exhibition at the Euphoria Shop in London, England was nominated for the Alternative Turner Prize.
